Elizabeth “Lizzie” Kangas, MSW, LGSW
Post-Master’s Fellow<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Lizzie is a Post Master’s Fellow, under supervision by Stacey Allen, LMFT and Nicole Barnes, LICSW<\/em>. She sees patients 5-25 years old in-person at the Chaska and Eagan locations<\/em><\/p>\n\n\n\n

Lizzie specializes in providing therapy to children, adolescents, and young adults who are navigating grief, cancer, chronic illness, and complex medical diagnoses for either themselves or someone within their circle. She is passionate about helping young people build resilience, develop healthy coping skills, and discover the strength that already exists within them to move forward with confidence and hope.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Lizzie works collaboratively with her patients to process grief, manage anxiety, navigate medical trauma, strengthen emotional regulation, and build practical coping strategies. She believes that while life can bring unimaginable challenges, every individual possesses an inner resilience that can be nurtured and strengthened. Her goal is to empower patients to recognize their strengths, embrace their values, and move toward a life that feels meaningful and fulfilling\u2014even in the midst of significant difficulties.<\/p>\n<\/div>\n\n\n\n

Lizzie earned her Master of Social Work with a clinical concentration at the University of Minnesota.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

She completed her graduate internship as a Hematology, Oncology, and Bone Marrow Transplant Social Worker at M Health Fairview Masonic Children\u2019s Hospital.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
